About My PhD Thesis

The title of my PhD thesis is "Behold, I Make All Things New": An Intertextual Analysis of New Creation in 2 Corinthians, Galatians, and Ephesians." My thesis essentially addresses two questions: 1) what is the meaning of new creation in the Pauline tradition (particularly with regard to 2 Corinthians, Galatians, and Ephesians); and 2) what is the relationship between the portraits of new creation in the undisputed Pauline epistles (primarily in 2 Corinthians and Galatians) and the disputed Pauline epistles (primarily in Ephesians). So essentially, I examine the significance of new creation in Paul and explore how closely the depiction of new creation in Ephesians follows that of 2 Corinthians and Galatians. My defense is set for July 28th 2011 and my examiners will be Prof. N. T. Wright (U. St. Andrews) and Dr. Tomas Bokedal (U. Aberdeen).
