About Me

I am a PhD student in New Testament Studies at the University of Aberdeen and married to a wonderful wife named Rachel. My PhD thesis is entitled, "Behold, I Make All Things New:" An Intertextual Analysis of New Creation in 2 Corinthians, Galatians, and Ephesians" (see the About my PhD Thesis page for more information).
On a more personal level, while I was born in Miami, FL, I am from the Cayman Islands and lived in Grand Cayman until I was 18 years old. After finishing my A Levels, I moved to Athens, GA to pursue a degree in Economics at the University of Georgia. Towards the end of my sophmore year, I came to faith in Christ through the witness of friends and my own study of Scripture. Shortly after that, I felt "called" to teach the Bible in an academic setting and it is that calling that has largely driven my life ever since! Lord willing, I will soon graduate with my PhD and will prayerfully find a full-time teaching position in the near future.
When I'm not researching and writing, I enjoy hanging out with my wife and friends, running, fishing, playing video games, and all things College Football. So, you can probably expect the occasional posts on one of these subjects:-)
